Melanie Mendez is a SAG AFTRA actor, creator, and audiobook narrator based in the Southeast.
Born into a big Puerto Rican family, and raised in NY, Melanie enjoys giving voice to both ethnic specific and non ethnic specific stories that elicit feelings of love, hope, humor and joy.
Melanie’s professional acting career began on stage, as Nickleodeon’s Dora the Explorer!, touring the UK and US and playing stages like Radio City Music Hall and the Kodak Theatre in LA. Upon her move to the Southeast, Melanie transitioned into on camera, commercial and voice over work and has since been seen and heard in numerous national and regional commercials and even prime time episodic television.
Melanie has been a recurring narrator for the app Radish Fiction for almost two years, where she narrates a serial fiction contemporary romance and has recorded over 400 episodes. She has had the pleasure of working with Harper Collins, John Marshall Media, Common Mode, Dreamscape Media, Podium Audio, and One Night Stand Studios thus far and looks forward to the journey ahead.
Melanie is also certified in Integrative Nutrition and prioritizes mental, physical and spiritual wellness daily through meditation, yoga, nature, dance, and enjoying life with her husband and two daughters. She also has a deep love for The Bachelor franchise, astrology, and all things woo.
